colour-chart.com gives you a selection of 216 "websafe" colours, covering the entire spectrum. Colours are specified with a
hexadecimal code. Each colour is defined by a 6-letter
group, thus pure black is 000000 and pure white is ffffff.
The first two figures give the red content, the next two the
green, and the last two the blue. The table below is arranged in 6 large blocks, each containing 36 colours. All the colours in each large block have the identical red content, starting with the 00 block and working through to the ff block. Each large block therefore has slightly more red in it than the block before.
Within each block,
the blue increases from left to right, and the green from top to
bottom. Thus, the top left hand colour in each block has only the red content. The top right hand corner has the same red content, no green content, and full blue content. The bottom left corner has the same red content, no blue content, and the full green content.
